Style Challenge

HairCon is bringing back Style Challenge but with a difference as they remodel the concept. Sponsored by the Fellowship for British Hairdressing the focus is now on the hairdresser not the contestant.

Iconic 90’s BBC TV makeover show with a twist!

Style Challenge was a BBC1 Daytime make-over show, which ran on weekday mornings from 1996-98. Contributors had a clothes, hair and make-up makeover. The key format point was a revolving mirror, meaning that the contributors could not see their transformation until the very end of the show.

But that was then…

Industry giants of all ages will pitch against the clock – demonstrating the talent and vision that makes them global, social or education leaders. Be prepared for uber cool transformations and unexpected collaborations.

Jane Galpin, HairCon show director and fashion producer of the original Style Challenge TV show says. “Style Challenge was ground-breaking back at the time bringing stylists such as Anthony Mascolo, Trevor Sorbie MBE, Andrew Barton, Errol Douglas MBE, Nicky Clarke OBE and Beverly C MBE straight into people’s homes. Many of those who took part went on to launch their own product lines and gain global success. It’s so exciting that we get to give it a whole new spin with the Fellowship.”
