Known for my innovative and compassionate approach, I have dedicated my career to creating a non-judgmental environment where every client feels valued and understood.
My efforts extend beyond the barbershop. I actively engage in community outreach, providing tailored grooming services to specialised educational settings and sensory centers. My expertise and sensitivity makes me a trusted figure for children and adults, many of whom are on the autism spectrum.
I have also taken steps to educate others in the hair industry. I planning conduct workshops, using Microsoft Teams, and in future in person to share my insights on working with neurodivergent clients. I’ve have collaborated with families and professionals to develop tools like communication cards to assist non-verbal or deaf clients in expressing their grooming preferences.
My impact has been widely recognized, including winning the Greater Manchester NHS Integrated Care and Partnership Award for Community Champion, featuring in The Sunday Times Alternative Honours List in 2023 and national news publications. Through my work, I will continue to break barriers and make hair services accessible for everyone, turning my barbershop into a haven for inclusivity and understanding.
