Chris’s journey began with a childhood passion for styling hair, which she nurtured through formal training and early salon experience in Grimsby.
After qualifying with distinction and earning her NVQ Level 3, she worked in salons, taught at a local college, and eventually launched Fusion Hair Co. in 2007. Under her leadership, the salon has grown into a hub for innovation and inclusivity, earning numerous accolades including Best Colour Salon, Best Texture Salon, and Salon of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards.  
A champion of education, Chris founded the Texture Curl Academy, which provides training to help salons across the UK become more inclusive and confident in working with all hair types. She is also a member of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Project Afro, collaborating with industry leaders to promote textured hair education.
Chris is a proud ambassador for INNOluxe, a bond-building treatment she credits with transforming the health and shine of her clients’ hair. Her expertise in textured hair has been featured in publications like SalonEVO and Colour World UK, and she has appeared on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch to discuss her community work, including holiday initiatives for seniors through the Not Home Alone charity.
