Chaddy Masangi

Chaddy Masangi is a 29-year-old entrepreneur, philanthropist, and pioneer within the UK grooming and wellbeing industry.

Chaddy is globally recognised as the world’s first fully qualified Barber Therapist, redefining the role of barbering as both a craft and a form of personal development and mental wellbeing support.
As CEO & Founder of 121, Chaddy has built a multi-service platform that fuses barbering, education, mentorship, and therapy-led practice.

His work goes beyond appearance — focusing on confidence, mindset, and performance, particularly among young people, professionals, and elite athletes. Chaddy is a qualified lecturer in barbering at Kirklees College, where he contributes to the development of future professionals through education, structure, and real-world industry insight. Widely regarded as a pioneer of the Manchester barbering scene, he has played a key role in modernising standards, training pathways, and professional expectations across the city.

A respected celebrity barber therapist, Chaddy, works closely with world-class athletes on pre-game preparation and mindset. He is the creator of the “Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good” theory, a performance-focused philosophy built on the belief that confidence, self-presentation, and mental clarity directly impact success.

His professional appointments include serving as Official Barber for Liverpool FC and Sheffield United FC,
as well as acting as an Academy Barber Trainer, supporting young players at critical stages of their development. In high performance environments, one truth is consistent. Confidence, composure, and communication affect output. Athletes understand that preparation is not just physical its psychological. Chaddy also holds a historic place within the industry as the first Black Hair Therapist and the first Black barber to establish a barber academy in Manchester, breaking barriers and creating pathways for under represented talent within the profession.

Through education, mentorship, community work, and elite performance support, Chaddy Masangi continues to lead a movement that positions barbering as a powerful tool for transformation, opportunity, and long-term impact.
