Aycan Kemal recently celebrated 24 years of owning her Salon, New York Hair Design, catering for everyone: ladies, gents & children.
She specialises in all hair types, of which 90% is on Textured hair, and she is the Guinness world record holder as the ‘Fastest hair braider.’
Aycan has won multiple Awards including HJ Afro stylist 2017 & 2018, and the Black Beauty & Hair Award multiple times, placing her now as Hall of Fame Braid Stylist of the year & Natural Stylist of the year. She has also been Awarded Barber of the year 2019.
She specialises in designer braids i.e. letter braiding, fine intricate patterns etc., and revels in Avant Garde styling incorporating her detailed braid work. Aycan looks forward to showcasing with Design Essentials at this year’s HairCon.
