Anthony Hutton began his journey in the hair industry over 20 years ago, discovering a deep love for barbering and the connections it creates.
After stepping away from the industry when he won Big Brother, Anthony eventually returned to his true passion—the craft of barbering and that connection you build up with a client, being a very unique friendship .
Fascinated by the one-to-one conversations that happen in the barber’s chair, Anthony realized it’s one of the best spaces for men to talk and open up. This insight inspired him to launch the Never Throw in the Towel Project, a mission to tackle male suicide and break the stigma around men’s mental health.
The initiative sees Anthony combining his skill set of barbering and public speaking, delivering keynote talks and running a pop-up barbershop. Using the barber’s chair as a subtle but powerful tool, he creates a safe space for honest conversations.
